You know how you say something stupid around your friends, and they take it and run, and it becomes the theme of the next couple of days? Yeah. It happened to me. All I wanted to do was say that I hadn’t seen any wildlife out the living room window, and they decided that I meant I hadn’t seen any wildlife at all. Not true, since we’d seen plenty of deer (and birds and squirrels and chipmunks).
But I, according to them, would not consider deer to be wildlife until I’d seem them from the living room.
But it happened the day before we left that two deer decided to wander into the living room window’s field of view and then hang out there for about ten minutes.
So it’s official. Deer are wildlife.
